History & Significance

Founded by Jesuit priests in 1857, Château Ksara is the oldest winery in Lebanon and helped shape the country’s modern wine industry. Its most remarkable feature is a natural network of Roman-era caves, rediscovered in the 19th century, where the cool, constant temperature is perfect for ageing wine.
